§ The General Assembly 
The General Assembly brings together every two years the national university sports organization, and elects the Executive Committee and the auditor for a four-year period. It adopts the budget and the program of FISU activities.

§        The Executive Committee 
The executive committee is comprised of 24 members. It meets twice a year to make decisions to ensure the proper functioning of FISU.

The General Secretariat is in charge of FISU's administrative work and is based in Brussels. 

§        The Commissions 

The commissions assist and advise the Executive Committee in the overall administration of FISU. There are eleven permanent commissions

- Permanent Commissions

1.       International Technical Commission for the Summer Universiade(CTI SU).

2.       International Technical Commission for the Winter Universiade(CTI WU).

3.       International Technical Commission for the World University Championships (CTI WUC), which make sure the sports events run smoothly.

4.       Commission for Sports Regulations (CRS).

5.       Medical Commission (CM).

6.       International Control Commission (CIC), which makes sure that the participants adhere to the entry conditions at every event.

7.       Commission for University Sports Study (CESU).

8.       International Press Commission (CPI).

9.       Universiade Supervision Commission Winter (CSUW).

10.    Universiade Supervision Commission Summer (CSUS), which make sure that the FISU regulations, spirit and tradition are followed and that there is a close co-operation between the FISU Commissions and the Organizing Committees of the events.

11.    Commission of Finance: CF, Studies the Budget Plan with the Treasurer.

- And two ad hoc commission:
a) Commission for the development of the University Sport : CDSU, Responsible for studying all the projects in view of developing the structures of FISU and its member associations.
b) Legal Commission: CL, advices the EC on all legal matters of FISU activities.

§        The Internal Auditor 

The Auditor verifies all of FISU accountancy. 

§ FISU revenues 

FISU revenues come from :
- receipts from organization, marketing and television rights for the Universiade.
- to a lesser extent, from the organization rights for the World university championships and from
